Midway Module provides component-level repair of the Excelitas / Kaiser TLX302 high-voltage capacitor-charging power supply family used in several Candela laser platforms. Repair service includes troubleshooting of the main converter, PFC, control, bias, and simmer circuitry, followed by functional bench testing of the repaired power supply.

Documented Candela TLX302 applications include:
GentleMax (GMAX) — Candela P/N 4001-01-0081
VBeam Perfecta — Candela P/N 4001-01-0086
Alex TriVantage — Candela P/N 4001-01-0082

Candela used more than one high-voltage power-supply version within some laser families. For example, Candela P/N 4001-01-0079 is documented as a VBeam Perfecta high-voltage power supply, but available records identify differing manufacturers/versions, so it is not automatically treated as a TLX302 for this service. A clear photo of the complete identification label is required before acceptance.

TLX302 versions are not automatically interchangeable between Candela laser models. Part number, revision, connectors, ratings, and application must be confirmed from the identification label before the module is accepted for service. The TLX302 family is also distinct from the later Candela P/N 4001-01-0091 TLCX402 supply used in GentleMax Pro-series systems.

Typical faults include no high-voltage output, failure to charge, converter or PFC failure, IGBT damage, no simmer output, and other HVPS - CCPS faults. Candela Fault 14 simmer faults may involve the HVPS or associated laser-head circuitry, so the power supply is evaluated to determine the actual cause of the fault.

Pre-Approval Required Before Shipping
Before a TLX302-family HVPS can be accepted for our flat-rate repair service, we require recent photographs and a brief condition disclosure by email regarding previous repairs, corrosion, burn or arc damage, missing parts, mechanical damage, or other abnormal conditions. Units with abnormal damage or an unknown service history may require a $75.00 Pre-Repair Evaluation before being accepted for flat-rate repair. If the unit qualifies and the repair proceeds, the $75.00 evaluation fee will be credited toward the flat-rate repair. Please contact us by email and receive pre-approval before shipping your HVPS.

To begin the pre-approval process for this repair service, email us directly at direct@midwaymodule.com for mail-in service. After we review your condition disclosure and photographs, we will provide the appropriate invoice and packaging instructions. Alternatively, you can purchase this service on one of the retail websites where we advertise without the direct discount, however, you may have to pay Internet sales tax. We do not collect and charge you sales tax for this service here on our website.

After receiving pre-approval, please follow our packaging instructions thoroughly and send your device symptoms via email or note in the box along with your name and return address.

Turn-around time is 1-5 business days for a typical repair after the HVPS has been accepted for our flat-rate repair service, when parts supply lines are normal and no special order parts are needed from your device source country. The pre-repair evaluation period and repairs requiring special-order parts are not included in the typical 1-5 business-day repair time.
